Honea’s Automotive began back in 1991 when Doug Honea decided to open up his own shop right here in his hometown of Georgetown, TX. Doug has over 35 years of experience in the automotive industry, with 31 years in auto repair and 4 years working in auto parts. Doug was always interested in cars as a child. Through his high school years, he spent more time working on his own cars and friends cars than he did studying for school.
Doug has a knack for electrical and mechanical work and has always enjoyed the puzzle or problem solving of repairing cars. The complexity and new technology in today’s cars keeps him interested in the automotive profession and striving to do better. Doug is proud to be a hands-on owner - not an absentee. He is completely involved, overseeing or working on any vehicle that comes through his shop. Outside of the shop, Doug likes to fish and go boating. He also owns a Harley and does some riding now and again. He is also a trained girls fastpitch softball umpire and call divisions from local league ball, travel ball and high school level including playoffs.
At Honea’s Automotive, we are an ASE certified shop and are associated with ASE, IATN, and TIAA. We are a proud sponsor of Faith In Action and will be participating in a community service program within the next year that will reach a large audience
